There are 4 steps to configure CDMA terminal in order to use Dial Up 1515 :
— First Step : Install the driver
— Second Step : Configure the modem
— Third Step : Create the dialer
— Fourth Step : Configure the dialer
STEP 1 >> INSTALL THE DRIVER
1. Insert the installation CD that comes together with the terminal. Click ‘Setup’ folder.
2. Double click the ‘Setup.exe’ icon.
3. Choose ‘English’, then Click ‘OK’.
4. A wizard will appear, then Click ‘Next’.
5. Make sure there is no connection to the Internet and the USB cable from the terminal is not plugged in during this installation. Once confirm, Click ‘Next’.
6. The program will automatically install the driver. After that,a new window will appear. Click ‘Finish’. Your driver has successfully been installed.
STEP 2 >> CONFIGURE THE MODEM
1. Then go to Control Panel. Click the ‘Phone and Modem Option’.
2. A new Window will appear. Click ‘Modems’. Then choose ‘HUAWEI WIRELESS MODEM(153.6k). Click ‘Properties’.
3. Click ‘Modem’, then set the Maximum Port Speed to ‘230400’. Then Click ‘Advanced’, make sure that the ‘Extra Initialization Commands’ box is empty. Click ‘OK’ to Exit.
STEP 3 >> CREATE THE DIALER
1. Go to ‘Control Panel’.
2. Click on ‘Network and Internet Connection’.
3. Click at ‘Create a new connection’.
4. A new window will appear. Then Click ‘Next’.
5. Click ‘Next’. Then choose ‘Connect to the Internet. Click ‘Next’.
6. Choose “Set up my connection manually”. Click ‘Next. Then choose ‘Connect using a dial up modem’. Click ‘Next’.
7. Then, type in the ISP Name inside the box. Preferably, type ‘CDMA 1515’. Click ‘Next’.
After that, choose ‘Anyone’s use’ and click ‘Next’.
8. After that, key in account details inside the boxes and Click ‘Next’. To finish off, tick the box ‘Add shortcut to this connection to my desktop’ and Click ‘Finish’.
STEP 4 >> CONFIGURE THE DIALER
1. Click on the previously created dialer.
2. The Dialer will appear. Click ‘Properties’.
3. In ‘General’ tab, key in the Phone Number as ‘1515’ . Also choose the ‘Modem- Huawei Wireless Modem’ then Click ‘Configure’.
4. A window will appear,. Set the Maximum Speed (Port ) to ‘230400’. Then only tick the ‘Enable hardware flow control’. Click ‘OK’.
5. In ‘Option’ tab, tick all boxes except ‘Include Windows logon domain’.
6. In ‘Security’ tab, choose ‘Advanced (custom settings)’, then click ‘Settings’.
7. A window will appear, choose ‘Unencrypted password (PAP)’. Click ‘OK’.
8. In the ‘Networking’ tab, choose these followings.
9. In the ‘Advanced’ tab, just leave it like that. To finish off, Click ‘OK’.
10. After that, the dialer will appear, just Click ‘Dial’ and you should be able to connect to the Internet.
